YOURAH is IDF Europe’s youth network and was established in 2017. It consists of alumni from Youth Leadership Camps and Labs and aims to empower youth to become active advocates within the diabetes community.
In 2020, when the ISLET programme began we set up an exchange between members of YOURAH and ISLET scientists to share experiences and think about how they could best connect the work of ISLET with the diabetes community, especially young people.
After many conversations that enlightened and motivated both groups, we began a series of blogs, lead by YOURAH. The first in the series is a result of interviews about ISLET’s scientific work and the motivation and lives of the scientists involved.
