“I had the pleasure of attending the European Summer School on Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine in September 2022 and it was truly an inspiring experience. The lectures and discussions allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the latest developments in the field of stem cell biology. In particular, it was great to learn about approaches aiming to bring stem cell-based medicines to the clinics and challenges that come with doing so. The summer school was uniquely located on Hydra, a tiny Greek island, and exceptionally well organized making it the perfect place to connect with junior stem cell scientists and leaders of the field from all over the world on a professional and personal level. This allowed me to build a network among stem cell researchers that will undoubtedly be valuable in my future scientific endeavors.” Johanna Siehler, ISLET scientist
